Upper Deck launches real-time trading card program

Upper Deck has launched Upper Deck Moments™, a new print-on-demand trading card program designed to turn real-time sports and entertainment events into physical collectibles. The program utilizes the company’s patented e-Pack platform, allowing collectors to purchase packs shortly after a significant event occurs. Collectors can manage cards digitally, trade them, or request physical versions to be shipped to their homes.

The program is debuting alongside the 2026-27 NHL season. The inaugural release commemorates Edmonton Oilers defenseman Evan Bouchard, who became the first defenseman in NHL history to record five points in a season opener. Packs for this release are priced at $6.99 and include a chance to obtain chase cards, such as the Gold Parallel.

Upper Deck plans to eventually expand the Upper Deck Moments™ brand beyond hockey to include other sports, pop culture, and entertainment sectors.
