Upper Lusatia short films released after ClipQuest FilmCamp

Three short films exploring the Upper Lusatia region have been released following the ClipQuest FilmCamp held in Bautzen in late August. Organized by the Marketing-Gesellschaft Oberlausitz-Niederschlesien mbH (MGO), the camp tasked young filmmakers with providing unique perspectives on the region under the motto ‘Perspective Change.’

Working alongside industry mentors, three teams developed stories focusing on Sorbian culture, landscape changes, and the future of traditional crafts. The resulting films address themes of tradition versus reinterpretation, past versus present, and friendship and loss. One featured film, ‘Kulturelle Grenzgänger,’ explores Sorbian traditions through the contrasting views of Monika Oschika from the Sorbian Museum Bautzen and Simon Heiduschka from the band ‘Popsorben.’
