Upper Mount Gravatt home sells for $1.5 million amid koala sightings

A five-bedroom mid-century home in Upper Mount Gravatt, Brisbane, sold for $1.5 million at auction on Saturday. The property, located at 43 Granby Street, is notable for its proximity to Mount Gravatt Reserve, which features resident koalas that reportedly drew the attention of bidders during the sale.

The 969-square-metre block includes a private walking trail into the bush. The home was purchased by the previous owners in 2022 for $1.17 million. The successful buyers, a young family with relatives in Hong Kong, noted that the property's dual living setup and natural surroundings provide a unique living environment.
