UPS to invest over $2 billion in global logistics and supply chain

UPS has announced a strategic investment plan exceeding $2 billion spanning from 2024 to 2028. The capital is earmarked for its International, Healthcare, and Supply Chain Solutions divisions to enhance speed, visibility, and resilience against global supply chain disruptions.

Key infrastructure projects include the opening of a new hub at Clark Airport in the Philippines in late 2026, a facility in Barrie, Ontario, Canada, in 2027, and a major air hub at Hong Kong International Airport in 2028. The company is also leveraging automation and robotics in a tech-enabled logistics center in Taiwan and has expanded its air hub in South Korea.

Additional investments include 27 temperature-controlled freight cross-dock facilities and a specialized Supply Chain Solutions facility in Amsterdam that integrates freight, brokerage, and cold-chain services. These developments aim to support high-value, time-critical sectors such as healthcare, high-tech, automotive, and industrial manufacturing.
