UPSC declares CAPF Assistant Commandant 2026 written exam results

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the written examination results for the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) 2026. The written exam was conducted on July 19, 2026.

Candidates whose roll numbers appear in the released PDF have been provisionally shortlisted for the next stage of the selection process, which includes the Physical Standards Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has been designated by the Ministry of Home Affairs as the nodal agency to conduct these physical tests. Shortlisted candidates will receive separate communications from the SSB regarding their schedules.

The 349 total vacancies are distributed across several forces: 108 for the Border Security Force (BSF), 106 for the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), 70 for the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), 53 for the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), and 12 for the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). Per government policy, 10% of these vacancies are reserved for ex-servicemen. Candidates are advised to prepare original documentation regarding age, educational qualifications, and reservation claims for the subsequent Personality Test.
