UPSC marks centenary with ‘Manthan’ celebrations in New Delhi

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has launched its two-day centenary celebrations, titled ‘Manthan’, at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The event marks 100 years since the institution's establishment in 1926.

UPSC Chairman Ajay Kumar outlined a future vision for the Commission based on the principles of Trust, Transparency, and Technology. During the deliberations, discussions focused on the role of civil services in national development, with speakers emphasizing the need for an agile, outcome-driven administration that moves beyond procedural formalities to achieve transformative ground-level results.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to participate in the celebrations, where he is expected to address the gathering and release a commemorative coin, a commemorative stamp, and a book titled ‘100 Landmark Judgements- Shaping the Policies of UPSC and Public Service Commissions in India’.
