UPSC marks centenary with Manthan event in New Delhi
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has commenced ‘Manthan’, a two-day centenary event in New Delhi to mark 100 years of the institution. Held at Bharat Mandapam, the celebrations involve senior public functionaries and eminent speakers discussing the evolving role of civil services and innovations in public administration.
UPSC Chairman Ajay Kumar outlined a future vision based on three guiding principles: Trust, Transparency, and Technology. He emphasized the necessity for institutions to adapt to changing circumstances while maintaining their fundamental constitutional roles.
The event includes sessions such as “Role of Civil Services in Viksit Bharat,” led by UPSC member Suman Sharma. Discussions have focused on the need for outcome-driven administration and the role of civil servants in translating policy into tangible ground-level results.
