UPSRA prevents labor fraud in Salta, Argentina

The Orán delegation of the Unión Personal de Seguridad República Argentina (UPSRA) has successfully intervened to prevent labor fraud by the company Star Servicios Empresarios SRL in Salta, Argentina.

The company attempted to reclassify 14 security guards under a different collective bargaining agreement unrelated to private security services. During proceedings, the company argued that the workers lacked necessary credentials; however, UPSRA demonstrated that managing such documentation is an administrative obligation of the employer under Provincial Law No. 7273.

A settlement was reached and approved by the Ministry of Labor, ensuring the immediate continuity of employment for the 14 guards while preserving their seniority and positions. The agreement mandates that the workers remain under Collective Bargaining Agreement No. 507/07 and establishes timelines for the company to process required certifications and documentation.
