UPSSSC PET 2026 exam scheduled for October 25, 30, and November 1

The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released a revised schedule for the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2026. The examination will be conducted in offline OMR-based mode across multiple shifts on October 25, October 30, and November 1, 2026.

Approximately 3.5 million candidates have registered for the exam, which serves as a primary gateway for Group C government recruitments in Uttar Pradesh. The test consists of 100 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 120 minutes, with each correct answer worth one mark. A negative marking scheme of 0.25 marks will be applied for every incorrect response.

The exam pattern includes significant weightage for data interpretation, with tables and graphs accounting for 20 marks. Experts suggest focusing on high-scoring subjects such as history, geography, the Indian constitution, economy, general science, mathematics, and logical reasoning to maximize scores.
