URA criticizes institutional failures affecting vulnerable citizens

The Civic Movement URA has criticized the failure of state institutions to support vulnerable populations, including children with developmental disabilities and persons with disabilities. The movement highlighted that social-medical commissions have not convened for several months, preventing citizens from accessing rights within the social and child protection systems.

URA identified several critical issues: the delay in medical assessments, late reimbursements for transportation costs for citizens traveling for medical treatment, and a lack of funds to subsidize the employment of persons with disabilities. The movement called on Minister Damir Gutić of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Family Care and Demography to explain the commission delays, and urged Minister Naida Nišić and the Health Fund to address the funding shortages and reimbursement issues.
