Urawa Red Diamonds to host two Vietnamese youth players for training in Japan

Two young Vietnamese footballers, Mai Viết Dũng (born 2008) from Hồng Lĩnh Hà Tĩnh and Phạm Viết Duy (born 2009) from Sông Lam Nghệ An, have been selected to train with the Urawa Red Diamonds U21 team in Japan.

The selection is part of a youth talent program organized by the Japanese club in Vietnam, aimed at discovering and connecting young Vietnamese players with Japanese football. The scouts evaluated over 30 players from various V. League clubs, including Thể Công - Viettel, Hà Nội, and Hải Phòng, based on ball handling, decision-making speed, and competitive performance.

The two players will spend two weeks in Japan participating in the U21 Urawa Red Diamonds system to experience professional training intensity, tactical requirements, and discipline.
