Urayasu calligraphy school opens amid interest in handwriting and spirituality
In Urayasu, a new calligraphy school, Shin-Urayasu Calligraphy Class Reirin, has opened to provide flexible, small-group lessons for students ranging from age four. Led by instructor Reirin, the class utilizes a pay-as-you-go system to accommodate busy schedules, allowing students to focus on either formal certification or personal interest.
Beyond technical instruction, the practice of beautiful handwriting is often associated with spiritual well-being. From a spiritual perspective, neat and flowing characters are viewed as a reflection of an individual's inner energy, mental stability, and spiritual level. Characteristics such as strong grounding, emotional harmony, and a sense of mindfulness are said to manifest through the balance and clarity of one's brushwork.
