Urayasu D-Rocks opens grass field for free public play in August
The professional rugby team Urayasu D‑Rocks will open its natural‑grass home ground, Urayasu D‑Park in Urayasu, Chiba, for free public use during the summer.
The event runs on seven days in August 2026 – 8, 10, 12, 14, 21, 24 and 26 – with two daily sessions (10:00‑12:00 and 16:00‑18:00). No reservation or fee is required; anyone from toddlers (with a guardian) to adults may attend.
Facilities include a ball‑play area, a separate pool for young children, a “fuwafuwa” soft‑play zone and indoor rest areas. Visitors must wear sneakers, cannot bring food, and must follow safety rules such as no helmets or rackets.
The initiative aims to provide a safe outdoor space for children during the heat, encourage physical activity, and strengthen community ties with the local rugby club.
