Urban art festivals held in Caspe and Córdoba
The town of Caspe, Spain, is hosting the fifth edition of the ‘Galería Cincuenta700’ contest from September 15 to 20. Organized by the City Council in collaboration with the University of Zaragoza, the event aims to promote tourism and the local economy by transforming the municipality into a public art museum. Four new murals will be added to the existing 29 in the streets, with artists Juan Navarro, Amanda Arruti, Daniel Martínez, and Daniel Vera selected to create works on facades provided by local residents.
In Córdoba, Argentina, the Metropolitan Museum of Urban Art (MMAU) is hosting the Asteroide Festival. The event features over 60 graphic projects, including stickers, posters, fanzines, and books produced through techniques such as silkscreen and woodcut. The festival includes workshops on glass engraving and paper embroidery, as well as seminars and discussions regarding independent graphic production and social issues.
