Urban bus services expand in Hermosillo and Puerto Natales

Public transportation services are undergoing expansions and updates in Hermosillo and Puerto Natales.

In Hermosillo, the H Bus electromobility program is reinforcing its service to accommodate the increase in university students. Starting September 14, Route 2 will receive a support unit for the 9:15 p.m. departure to California Residencial. This measure aims to improve efficiency for the high volume of users, over 70 percent of whom are women. Authorities are also updating the program's web platform to reflect new stops and adjusted travel times.

In Puerto Natales, a new urban bus system is scheduled to begin operations in the first half of October. The fleet will consist of nine buses with a general ticket price of $500 pesos. The system includes differentiated fares, offering a 50 percent discount for seniors over 60 and a one-third reduction for students with a National Student Card. Local authorities have launched an information campaign to educate the community on the new routes and service mechanics.
