Urban development projects advance in Berlin and Hamburg

Various urban development and construction projects are progressing across major German cities.

In Berlin, the ‘Cecilien-Carré’ residential quarter in Hellersdorf is nearing completion for its first phase, with 128 apartments already seeing window and balcony installations. The full project, totaling 272 rental units, is expected to be finished by 2028. In Pankow, the Livory Group and Schrobsdorff Bau AG have celebrated a topping-out ceremony for a new development on Schonensche Straße that will provide 140 rental apartments by 2028. Additionally, plans for the former Kino Sojus site in Marzahn have become more detailed, proposing an eleven-story high-rise with approximately 180 apartments and a five-story parking garage at Helene-Weigel-Platz.

In Hamburg, the renovation of Block V in the historic Speicherstadt is underway. Managed by HHLA, the project aims to transform the historic warehouse at Brooktorkai into modern spaces for offices, gastronomy, retail, and culture by the first quarter of 2028.
