Latin American regions advance diverse infrastructure and housing projects

Various regional governments across Latin America are advancing diverse infrastructure and housing initiatives.

In Honduras, the Central District Municipal Government is 75% through a runoff control project in Santa Eduviges to mitigate flood risks for 10,000 people. In Argentina, authorities in Tucumán are managing 2,000 housing units, while Neuquén is expanding prison infrastructure with a new maximum-security pavilion. San Luis has also begun evaluating families for its “Tenemos Futuro” housing program.

Chilean authorities are implementing several urban improvements, including a $5.2 billion public lighting modernization in Valparaíso, the inauguration of a social center in Curepto, and the advancement of the Salvador Allende housing project in San Joaquín. Additionally, the Ministry of Housing and Urbanism is supporting 145 housing solutions in Baquedano and Sierra Gorda.

In Ecuador, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Technology is progressing on the La Rioja housing project in Daule, which is 60% complete. Meanwhile, in Mexico, Grupo Ruba is implementing the “Convive” program in Saltillo to improve community organization and administration within controlled-access residential developments.
