Urban development projects approved in Bermeo and Alba de Tormes

In Bermeo, Spain, the local council has approved the free transfer of a land plot to Visesa, the Basque Government’s public housing company. The site is intended for the construction of 52 protected rental homes. This agreement follows a June convention and enters a 15-day public information period. Visesa has already tendered for the technical drafting of the project with a base budget of 500,000 euros.

In Alba de Tormes, Spain, the local government has approved a partial plan for a new high-technology industrial sector. The 30,616 square meter development, promoted by Granja Rodríguez Serrano, S. L., is designed to host research and development facilities for vaccine production. The project involves a compensation system where landowners will contribute over 300,000 euros toward the urbanization of the area, which is expected to have a 90% industrial and 10% residential land use.
