Urban development projects face scrutiny in Croatia and Montenegro

In Croatia, the Ministry of Economy has filed an official appeal with the State Commission for the Supervision of Public Procurement (DKOM) regarding the selection process for the revitalization of the Maksimir Stadium and SRC Svetice zone. The appeal follows public dissatisfaction with the winning architectural proposal by Milan-based studio VG 13 and concerns raised by other competing firms.

In Montenegro, an international architectural and urban planning competition has been launched for the coastal area of Budva, spanning from Brijeg to Zaval. The initiative, led by the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property in cooperation with the Public Enterprise for Coastal Zone Management, aims to modernize the coastline. The project intends to replace unregulated temporary structures with a modern promenade, green parks, and improved port facilities to meet European standards and enhance the tourism sector.
