Urban infrastructure improvements underway in Ronda and Jerez

Municipal governments in Andalusia are implementing various urban infrastructure projects to improve accessibility and road conditions.

In Ronda, the City Council has begun renovation works on Calle Pirineos in the Los Prados district. The project, costing nearly 44,000 euros, involves renewing 1,142 square meters of damaged pavement and improving access to homes and garages. This follows previous improvements on Calle Larga. Additionally, approximately 50,000 euros are allocated for the improvement of Plaza Virgen del Prado in February.

In Jerez, Mayor María José García-Pelayo announced the upcoming second phase of a sidewalk improvement plan. This phase aims to renovate approximately 60 streets, supported by a 695,000 euro subsidy from the Diputación de Cádiz under the ‘Cádiz en Marcha’ plan. Works are expected to begin in the first quarter of next year. The first phase, which covers 25 streets and includes ongoing work on Avenida del Mosto and Avenida de la Soleá, focuses on repairing sidewalks, painting pedestrian crossings, and enhancing accessibility for people with disabilities.
