Urban One launches ONE Yard tour at Bowie State University

Urban One launched ‘ONE Yard: The HBCU Experience’, a two-city tour designed to bring its digital platform to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The tour began at Bowie State University, where approximately 400 students, alumni, and staff gathered at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center for a six-hour event.

The program combined culture with professional opportunity, featuring live music from the Bowie State Symphony of Soul marching band, food trucks, and interactive activities like yoga. Beyond entertainment, the event served as an intergenerational networking space where students showcased new businesses and entrepreneurs pitched to panelists for feedback and mentorship. Alumni also provided financial and professional guidance to current students.

The tour is scheduled to conclude on September 2 at Clark Atlanta University.
