Urban promenade renovation projects announced in Keszthely and Csíkszereda

Keszthely, Hungary, has signed a design contract for the development of an active recreational green area and promenade around the Sirius Hotel. The project, supported by a 140 million forint grant, aims to improve the lakeside area by better accommodating pedestrians, cyclists, anglers, and dog owners. The design phase is expected to take 195 days, with full completion of the investment projected for 2029.

In Csíkszereda, Romania, authorities are preparing to launch a public tender for the renovation of the Nagy István painter promenade. The project, estimated at 26.6 million lei, includes replacing utility networks, installing new road and sidewalk paving, creating parking spaces, and building playgrounds and specialized tracks for skaters and extreme cyclists. While the project has faced several delays, the city intends to initiate the procurement process for design and construction to avoid further setbacks.
