Urban transportation projects launched in Seydişehir and İzmir

Municipalities in Turkey are implementing major transportation infrastructure projects to alleviate chronic traffic congestion. In Seydişehir, the Traffic Master Plan has entered the implementation phase following approval by the Konya Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Coordination Center (UKOME). The project focuses on redesigning key intersections, including the New Bus Terminal, the New Government House, the Municipality, and the Old Garage junctions, to improve flow for drivers and pedestrians.

In İzmir, the “Izmir Transportation Master Plan – UAP 2040” is driving developments in the Çiğli Ataşehir neighborhood. Plans for the Koçtaş Junction include lane and signaling adjustments to increase capacity. A second phase involves widening a bridge where Caher Dudayev Boulevard meets Küçükçiğli Stream, adding three new lanes and a bicycle lane to the existing three-lane road. These measures aim to reduce delays and improve safety for traffic heading toward Mavişehir.
