Urbino art exhibition attracts over 2,000 visitors
The art exhibition ‘Da Barocci a Tiepolo. La Madonna Albani e la grande pittura italiana tra Cinque e Settecento’, held at the Castellare di Palazzo Ducale in Urbino, has concluded with positive results.
Over 2,000 visitors attended the exhibition during its three-month run from July 4 to September 27, 2026. The project focused on Federico Barocci’s ‘Madonna Albani’ and explored the relationship between major Italian painting and the artistic history of Urbino.
Lara Ottaviani, the Councilor for Culture, noted that the exhibition successfully sparked curiosity and academic discussion. The introduction of paid admission helped cover exhibition costs and support upcoming cultural activities. The exhibition featured works from private collections and artists from the Urbino school.
