Urbino Chamber Music Festival returns to Palazzo Ducale

The Urbino Chamber Music Festival is set to continue at the Palazzo Ducale, home to the Galleria Nazionale delle Marche. Under the artistic direction of Cecilia Cartoceti, the festival aims to integrate high-level musical performances with historic art venues.

The upcoming program includes a performance on September 20 by Daniel Palmizio and Clara Dutto, featuring works by Hindemith and Schubert. Other scheduled events include a concert on October 4 featuring Calogero Palermo, Gabriele Ceci, Cecilia Cartoceti, Nicoletta Pignataro, and Sebastiano Severi. Looking further ahead, the Quartetto Adorno is scheduled to perform Beethoven works in April 2027.

The Galleria Nazionale delle Marche itself is a significant art museum located in the former San Francesco convent and the Palazzo Ducale in Urbino. It houses a vast collection of Italian art spanning the 14th to 20th centuries, with notable works by artists such as Piero della Francesca, Raphael, and Titian.
