Urbino Democratic Party denies reports of internal divisions
The Democratic Party (PD) council group in Urbino has issued a formal denial regarding reports of internal divisions within the party. Responding to recent media narratives, the group stated that the party remains “cohesive, solid and fully united,” citing recent municipal elections, the city congress, and the installation of the new secretariat as evidence of stability.
Regarding the upcoming provincial elections, the PD Urbino emphasized that candidate selection will not be an autonomous decision. Instead, they intend to work in synergy with the broader territory, spanning from inland areas to the coast, to ensure shared proposals. The group asserted that any eventual candidate will receive unanimous support from the council and the secretariat.
In related political developments, Vincenzo Pompilio, a councilor for Urbino Bene Comune, denied rumors of being approached for a civic list associated with Mayor Maurizio Gambini, though he noted he maintains a good relationship with the mayor.
