Urbino to name Belvedere after organic agriculture pioneers

The city of Urbino will inaugurate the Belvedere in via Giro del Cassero on October 3 at 3:30 PM. The site is being named in honor of Gino Girolomoni and Tullia Romani, pioneers of organic agriculture in Italy.

Girolomoni and Romani founded a Marche-based agricultural company that has gained international recognition. The city administration intends to honor their vision of a sustainable relationship with the land, food, and the environment, which they began promoting in the 1970s.

The ceremony will be attended by the couple's children, Maria, Giovanni, and Samuele. Mayor Maurizio Gambini noted that the dedication recognizes a history that belongs to Urbino and its territory while looking toward future values of well-being and quality of life.
