Urbisaglia driver dies after van crashes into wall

A 57-year-old man, Catalin Constantin Zaharia, died following a single-vehicle accident in Urbisaglia, Italy. The incident occurred around 7:00 AM on Via Sacrario along provincial road 83, in the stretch connecting the town to the Maestà roundabout.

Zaharia, a resident of Urbisaglia who worked night shifts at a local bakery, was driving a Renault van when he reportedly lost control of the vehicle near a curve and struck a residential wall. Emergency medical services attempted to resuscitate him, but he passed away before an air ambulance could arrive.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash, with a possible medical emergency occurring while the man was driving being a primary hypothesis. No other vehicles were involved. The Tolentino fire brigade secured the area, and Carabinieri from the Tolentino Radiomobile conducted investigations. The road was temporarily closed to facilitate these operations.
