Urbisaglia to host 7th Papà Elio Gran Premio GiorgioMare cycling event

Urbisaglia will host the 7th edition of the Papà Elio Gran Premio GiorgioMare on September 26 and 27, 2026. The event focuses on youth cycling talent, featuring an individual time trial on Saturday for categories ranging from esordienti to under 23-elite, and a road race on Sunday for the juniores category.

Organized by Vincenzo Santoni and supported by main sponsor GiorgioMare, owned by entrepreneur Giorgio Longhi, the race serves as a tribute to Elio Longhi. The event presentation featured cycling champion Gianni Motta, who highlighted his historical connection to Urbisaglia, where he secured a significant victory in 1970 following a major health challenge.

The competition is supported by the Urbisaglia municipal administration and aims to showcase high-level national cycling talent.
