Following a serious railway accident in Urda, Toledo, involving a Renfe AVE train and an Iryo train, a citizen-led website was created to help families locate missing loved ones and allow passengers to report their status.
The platform, which allowed users to indicate whether they were injured or safe and specify their location, such as a hospital or a designated pavilion in Urda, collected numerous reports from relatives and travelers. However, the service has been withdrawn by its administrators because it was deemed to be in violation of data protection regulations.
