Urduliz festivities see mass fight and metro station closure

A large-scale fight involving the throwing of glass bottles occurred during the festivities in Urduliz, forcing the local metro station to close for approximately one hour. The incident began around 6:20 AM when a young man attempted to mediate a prior altercation and was subsequently attacked by several individuals. Security guards intervened to protect the victim but were also struck by objects, prompting the station closure.

Approximately 200 people gathered outside the station in a hostile manner, requiring reinforcements from Bilbao, Sestao, and Erandio. During the police response, officers were met with bottle attacks. A 22-year-old man has been detained by the Ertzaintza on charges of public disorder.
