Regional authorities launch school infrastructure projects across Balkans

Various regional authorities in Croatia, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina are implementing infrastructure projects and maintenance to prepare for the upcoming school year.

In Croatia, Sisačko-moslavačka županija is investing over 1.2 million euros to expand the Ludina Primary School, adding 400 square meters of space to enable single-shift classes. Similarly, in Đurđevac, the city is funding school expansions and providing textbooks and materials for students. In Čakovec, Mayor Ljerka Cividini is overseeing the reconstruction of the Ivanovec Primary School, which will add five new classrooms and accessibility features.

In Serbia, JKP Mediana has launched an initiative in Niš to renovate school yards, including pruning trees and repairing playground equipment across 20 schools. Additionally, in Pejkovac, JKP Žitorađa has been contracted for 1.72 million dinars to repair a school building suffering from leaks and moisture issues.

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, retail offers for school supplies are also being promoted as the new academic year approaches.
