Uriel Antuna calls for patience from Pumas fans

Pumas UNAM forward Uriel Antuna has called for patience from the club's supporters as the team seeks to end a 15-year championship drought. Antuna acknowledged the emotional impact of the club's recent loss in the Clausura 2026 final against Cruz Azul, describing it as a painful experience for the players.

Addressing the team's current standing in the Apertura 2026 tournament, where they hold 12 points and sit in 12th place, Antuna noted that the squad is currently in a construction phase under coach Esteban Solari. He emphasized that the team remains united and focused on implementing new tactical ideas.

Additionally, Antuna welcomed the return of César Huerta to the squad following a brief stint with Anderlecht in Belgium. Regarding his professional future, the forward expressed his ongoing desire to earn a call-up to the Mexican national team.
