Urko González de Zárate returns to Anoeta with RCD Espanyol

RCD Espanyol midfielder Urko González de Zárate is set to return to Anoeta stadium this Saturday to face Real Sociedad. Having spent many years at the club and making his Primera División debut there, the midfielder described the upcoming match as a special occasion due to his long-standing ties and friendships at the venue.

Despite the sentimental connection, Urko emphasized his focus on securing three points for Espanyol. He noted that while a match against Real Sociedad will be difficult, the team is working to translate recent positive performances into results. Regarding his role, he stated he is prepared to play wherever the manager, Manolo González, requires, noting that the coach has tasked him with being aggressive in duels and showing personality when playing with the ball.

When asked about potential new signings, such as Bryan Zaragoza, Urko deferred to the club's sporting director, Monchi, stating that new arrivals are always welcome.
