Shah Rukh Khan and Ed Sheeran collaborate for upcoming film King

Global pop star Ed Sheeran has revealed that his friendship with Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan led to a musical collaboration for the upcoming film, King. Sheeran shared on Instagram that the project, which marks his Bollywood debut, originated during a visit to Khan’s residence in India. During that visit, Khan introduced Sheeran to the music composer duo Sachin-Jigar, leading Sheeran to write and record his verse for the track “Tu Mil Jaaye” that same night.

The song “Tu Mil Jaaye” features vocals by Arijit Singh and Madhubanti Bagchi, with an English rap penned by Sheeran. The track was released on November 2, 2026, coinciding with Shah Rukh Khan’s 61st birthday. The film, produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, is scheduled for a theatrical release on December 24, 2026, and will feature both Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter, Suhana Khan.

In a separate update, actor Pankaj Tripathi discussed his upcoming streaming film, Parivarik ManuRanjan, which is set to release on SonyLIV on November 13, 2026. Tripathi noted that his role as Ranjan Dubey offers a departure from his more menacing, iconic characters like Kaleen Bhaiyya from Mirzapur.
