Ursa Major opens new manufacturing facility in Longmont, Colorado

Ursa Major has opened a new manufacturing facility in Longmont, Colorado, to expand the production of avionics and in-space propulsion systems. The new site is designed to accommodate more than 125 employees and includes dedicated welding and manufacturing labs, an environmental test lab, and an ISO 7 hard-walled clean room.

The expansion is intended to meet increasing customer demand and allows the company to shift avionics and in-space production to Longmont. This move frees up capacity at the company’s headquarters in Berthoud, Colorado, for liquid engine production, vehicle integration, and the assembly of the Hadley and Draper engines, as well as the HAVOC Missile System and solid rocket motor programs.
