Ursula Salg honored with Hesse State Honor Letter

Ursula ‘Uschi’ Salg has been awarded the State Honor Letter of Hesse for her more than 50 years of volunteer service in Klein-Auheim. The award was presented by Hanau Mayor Dr. Maximilian Bieri during a summer family festival on August 29.

Salg has been a central figure in the Concordia 1873 Klein-Auheim singing association, serving as a singer, organizer, and chairperson. Her involvement with the association began in 1974 at the age of eleven. Following in the footsteps of her father, Philipp Bauer, who led the association for 40 years, Salg assumed the chairmanship of the entire association in 2008.

Mayor Bieri praised her commitment, stating that her work has significantly shaped the social and cultural life of the community and demonstrated the ability to bring different generations together.
