Ursula Strauss stars in new crime series ‘Tiroler Blut’

The new crime series ‘Tiroler Blut’ is set to premiere on ORF starting October 5. Set in Innsbruck, the series focuses on the Gruber family, a third-generation police family.

Ursula Strauss stars as Chief Inspector Fanny Gruber, positioned between her retired father, played by Sven-Eric Bechtolf, and her son, played by Noah L. Perktold, who is just beginning his career. Strauss noted that her character differs from her previous role, Angelika Schnell, by being set in a rural rather than urban environment. This setting creates higher personal tension, as the character is personally acquainted with many individuals involved in the crimes.

The series, directed by Matthias Tiefenbacher and written by Christian Jeltsch, emphasizes family conflicts and emotions as central drivers of the plot alongside the police investigations.
