Ursus C-360 tractor compared to Massey Ferguson and Zetor models

Agricultural machinery remains a central topic of discussion among Polish farmers, particularly regarding the utility of legacy tractor models in the second-hand market. The Ursus C-360 continues to be a benchmark for comparison against various alternatives due to its durability and specific technical characteristics.

When compared to the Massey Ferguson 255, the Ursus C-360 offers higher weight and a four-cylinder S-4003 engine (52 HP), making it more effective for heavy plowing on difficult soils. In contrast, the Massey Ferguson 255, featuring a three-cylinder Perkins engine (47 HP), is noted for superior fuel economy, more precise hydraulics, and better ergonomics.

In discussions regarding upgrades, the Ursus C-360 is also frequently compared to the Czech Zetor 6011. While the Ursus relies on a 3120 cm3 engine producing 52 HP, the Zetor 6011 features a larger 3456 cm3 engine producing approximately 59 HP. This increased displacement provides the Zetor with better torque flexibility at low RPMs, offering improved performance under heavy loads compared to the older Ursus design.
