Uruapan to host ‘Aura Battle’ at cable car station

The Michoacán State Government, through the Secretariat of Urban Development and Mobility (Sedum), is hosting a ‘Batalla de Aura’ (Aura Battle) this Sunday, August 23, at the Uruapan cable car’s Centro station. Starting at 11:00 AM, the event seeks to crown a ‘Maestro del Aura’ with a prize of 2,000 pesos.

The competition is based on the ‘aura farming’ social media trend, where participants use confident movements, poses, or dances to project charisma and earn ‘aura points.’ Authorities stated the initiative aims to encourage youth to engage positively with new public spaces and strengthen the social fabric by transforming transportation stations into community meeting points.
