Uruguayan cyclists dominate Vuelta de la Amistad
In the 38th edition of the Vuelta de la Amistad in Trinidad, cyclists Paola Silva and Luciana Wynants, representing Armonía de Fray Bentos, have emerged as leading competitors. Following a 10-kilometer individual time trial where Wynants placed third and Silva eighth, the duo secured the top two positions in the second stage held at the José Asconeguy track. Silva won the stage, followed by Wynants in second and Romina Rodríguez in third.
In the men's category, Aparicio Caraballo won the time trial, while Santiago Arbolito claimed victory in the second stage.
Separately, 19-year-old cyclist Florencia Revetria is preparing to represent Uruguay at the 2026 Odesur Games in Argentina. Revetria, who has previously achieved a Pan American bronze medal, is focusing on her upcoming competition in Santa Fe following her recent performances in the cycling circuit.
