Uruguayan streamer Chaipa7 detained in Argentina for gender violence

Santiago De León Quintana, a Uruguayan streamer known as Chaipa7, has been detained in Argentina following allegations of gender violence against his partner, Lara Magalí Rapallo.

The incident began on October 15 during a live broadcast where the couple was seen arguing while traveling in two separate vehicles through Vicente López. The confrontation reportedly continued at a residence in the Barrancas del Lago gated community in Nordelta, Tigre.

Following a 911 call, emergency responders arrived at the scene and documented physical injuries. Medical personnel confirmed that Rapallo had a visible injury on her left cheekbone, while De León Quintana sustained a minor scratch.

Prosecutor Julio César Petrucci of the Tigre Gender Unit ordered the arrest on charges of aggravated injuries. The investigation remains open as authorities review the video footage circulated on social media to establish the full context of the altercation.
