In Uruguay, the non‑profit association ANDA used World Elder Abuse Awareness Day to showcase its comprehensive elderly‑care model. It runs a geriatric polyclinic in Montevideo, holds monthly health‑focused meetings for people over 60, offers digital‑literacy training in partnership with the national telemedicine society, and organizes domestic and international outings through its tourism arm for its 255,000 members.

In Spain’s Community of Madrid, officials opened a conference titled “Aging away from home – Migration and loneliness of older people in Spain.” They highlighted that 25 % of residents aged 65 and over live alone. Since 2023 the regional government’s network for isolated seniors includes 63 private entities and 158 municipalities, has launched more than 300 initiatives and reached over 3,600 participants, aiming to personalize and coordinate support for older adults.
