Uruguay's Florida Department Holds Rural and Tourism Development Meetings

Officials from Uruguay's Florida Department gathered at the Rural Development Board meeting in the María Dolores estate, where national and departmental authorities, including Alejandro Henry, president of the National Institute of Colonization, Ariadne García of the Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries, and Gabriel Isola, director of Rural Development, discussed agricultural sector needs, policy coordination and strategies to strengthen production and rural communities.

In a separate session, Florida's general secretary José Luis Curbelo and tourism director Carmen Pasarella met with national Tourism Minister Pablo Menoni to plan the promotion of the department's tourism potential and to coordinate preparations for the upcoming papal visit, which is expected to draw millions of faithful worldwide and boost the local economy.
