U.S. Air Force 1952 UFO Tape May Be Released
Congressman Eric Burlison (R‑MO) announced at the Disclosure Forum 2026 that a reel‑to‑reel audio recording of a secret 1952 Air Force briefing on the “Washington invasion” UFO sightings has been located at MIT’s Lincoln Laboratory. Legal review confirms the tape’s existence and advocates say it could be made public soon.
The 1952 incident saw radar operators, pilots and civilians report numerous unidentified objects over Washington, D.C., prompting fighter interceptions and a televised Air Force explanation that atmospheric inversions caused the sightings. The newly found recording could reveal internal government concerns that were previously dismissed.
UAP disclosure supporters, including the Disclosure Foundation’s Jordan Flowers, praised the move. Senator Mike Rounds promised to re‑introduce the UAP Disclosure Act, and Rep. Anna Paulina Luna said she is working with the White House on immunity for whistle‑blowers on alleged non‑human technologies.
