US Air Force jet graffiti suggests troop discontent over Iran war

Graffiti discovered on a US Air Force Boeing KC-135R Stratotanker in the Middle East suggests significant discontent among service members regarding the ongoing conflict involving Iran. The messages, which were written in the dust on an aircraft flap, include satirical remarks implying that American military efforts are serving the interests of Israel and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rather than the United States.

Photos of the graffiti were shared by Trita Parsi, Executive VP of the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft. The messages include derogatory terms and references to Netanyahu, as well as a play on words regarding ‘Operation Epstein Fury.’ The incident follows polling suggesting a majority of Americans believe the war on Iran benefits Israel more than the US.
