U.S. Air Force Supports Humanitarian Aid at Venezuela's Maiquetía Airport

The U.S. Southern Command said its Contingency Response Element (CRE) of the Air Force is operating at Simon Bolivar International Airport in Maiquetía. The CRE is accelerating the flow of humanitarian supplies to regions affected by the June 24 earthquakes, handling air‑traffic control, aerodrome management and cargo handling. It is working alongside Venezuelan aviation officials and other international response teams under the direction of the U.S. government to maximise the impact of the aid effort.
