US-Iran clash escalates with seventh night of strikes on Gulf allies

U.S. Central Command announced the end of a seventh consecutive night of air and naval strikes against Iran, targeting surveillance sites, military logistics, underground weapons depots and maritime capabilities. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard responded by hitting U.S. bases and support facilities in Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan, and by attacking a desalination and power plant in Kuwait, causing fires and injuries to firefighters.

Iran warned that if U.S. attacks continue for another two to three days it will launch a full‑scale offensive, saying “no political border will be safe.” Tehran’s state media reported three deaths and eight injuries in Iran’s Hormozgan province from the U.S. strikes, while Kuwait’s authorities said several firefighters were hurt in the plant attack. The United States, which has more than 50,000 troops stationed across the Middle East, also maintains a naval blockade of Iranian ports.

Both sides have exchanged accusations over civilian casualties. The United States says its operations target only military infrastructure, while Iran alleges deliberate attacks on civilian water, power and communication facilities. Gulf states, including Bahrain and Jordan, activated air‑raid alerts and reported intercepting Iranian missiles.
