US Ambassador Nicole Varnes welcomed by North Macedonia's Ali Ahmeti in Rečica

Ali Ahmeti, chairman of the Democratic Union for Integration (BDI), received United States ambassador Nicole Varnes at the BDI headquarters in Rečica, Tetovo. During the meeting the two officials exchanged views on current political developments in North Macedonia and stressed the importance of the United States as a strategic partner. Ahmeti thanked Varnes for her constructive engagement and highlighted American support that was crucial to the implementation of the Ohrid Framework Agreement, the promotion of democratic institutions, and regional stability. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepen cooperation and to continue dialogue with international partners to strengthen the country's democratic and social cohesion.
