US Ambassador Peter Lamelas hosts rodeo event in Buenos Aires

United States Ambassador to Argentina, Peter Lamelas, organized the Rodeo Freedom 250 event at the Hipódromo de Palermo to commemorate the 250th anniversary of United States independence. The celebration featured equestrian displays and acrobatics, following a previous reception held at Palacio Bosch.

The event drew various attendees, including business leaders, legislators, and diplomats. Notable figures present included Tomás Hess, president of the Chamber of Oil Services, and several deputies from La Libertad Avanza. Former Argentine President Mauricio Macri also attended the charity gala organized by the NGO Hacemos!, led by María Eugenia Vidal, where he received a standing ovation.

During the festivities, Ambassador Lamelas declined to answer press inquiries regarding the political situation of Brazilian politician Flávio Bolsonaro in the United States. The event served as part of a year-long series of activities planned to mark the American independence milestone.
